1. Who you are dealing with
Landed is a small business run by students in Aberdeen, Scotland. Contact details are on the contact page. These terms are governed by Scots law.
2. Reservations and the deposit
A reservation holds a kit for your check-in date. It is confirmed when the £20 deposit is paid, by card through our payment page or by cash or bank transfer arranged with us. Until the deposit is paid we may release the box to someone else. The deposit counts toward your total.
3. Prices and the balance
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include everything listed for the kit or item. The balance (total minus deposit and any referral credit) is paid on delivery, by card or cash at the door, or online through the link in your emails. We may hold a box at reception until the balance is paid.
4. Delivery
Arrival kits are delivered on your check-in date; winter kits on the October delivery day, or on your check-in date if you arrive later. We confirm the building and room with you the week before. If we cannot reach your room, we leave the box with the halls reception under your name and tell you where it is. Storage collections and returns are arranged separately.
5. Changing or cancelling
You can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before your check-in date and the deposit is refunded in full, to the card it was paid with within about a week, or by bank transfer for cash and bank deposits. Inside 14 days the stock has been bought for you and the deposit is kept; anything paid above the deposit is refunded. You can change the check-in date, room or items at any time before the box is packed, by messaging us.
6. If we let you down
If the box is not in your room or at reception when you check in, your first night is on us: we deliver it as soon as reception opens and refund your deposit in full, so the kit costs you £20 less. If we cannot deliver on the agreed date, or you would rather not wait, you can cancel for a full refund including the deposit. If an item is missing, damaged or faulty, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we replace it or refund that item. Nothing here limits your rights under UK consumer law.
7. Referral credit
Your order reference is a referral code. When someone reserves with it and pays their deposit, they get £10 off and you get £10 off your balance. Credit has no cash value, is applied to your balance only, and is withdrawn if the referred order is cancelled.
8. Summer storage and buy-back
Ticking the storage box on an order is an expression of interest, not a booking. Storage and buy-back have their own prices and terms, sent to you when booking opens.
9. Questions
Anything unclear, or a problem with an order: message us on WhatsApp or email us, quoting your reference. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
